Space Oddity

In space, tears well and cling
in floundering globules; morph
and bulge disarmingly –

but cannot fall.

No gravity
to urge
the sure cascade, evince
a visceral
sure as sunset

drop.

Crystal limpets
that don’t know down
from up – space eyes
bulge like mercury
and Newton’s apple++++floats.

You too – you cleave
like North Sea fret, haunting
old coves and stacks.

Freely stuck.

And there’s nothing, no,
there’s nothing I can do.

Your planet earth is blue.
